Viva la Mexico!

We have arrived in sunny Mexico! Yesterday we went on a boat ride in the lagoon at the Tortogaria (turtle sanctuary) with our friends Sybil and Paul.
We saw tons of birds, great blue herons, white herons, egrets, falcons, ospreys, and really sweet little birds that walked on the lily pads.

The turtles were awesome too!

we saw willie

Willie Nelson that is.

He is 75 years old but he can still rock the house! He was awesome. He played at the Barbara B Mann theatre in Fort Meyers. It was sold out. I don't think of southwest Florida as Willie Nelson fans but they loved him.

We found a great Mexican restaurant and ate before the show. All in all it was a great evening out.

Counting down the days till Mexico - 2!

my "office" in Florida

Or, why am I not blogging much.

Here I am in my Florida "office". I have found that I can tap into a neighbor's WiFi if I am out in the garage. Better than nothing.

Mom is doing much better, it is still hard for her to eat and then she worries about that. She is also worried about the radiation treatment she is starting next week. Mom told us this morning that she will tell us in a year, if it has been worth it....

My brother is here for a few days and it has been so good to have him. He leaves tomorrow. We are leaving ourselves next Sunday for Manzanillo and on to Cuyutlan - I am so looking forward to that. I don't know always exactly what it is about it, but I love Mexico!

Vamos a la playa!

freezing in Florida

Last night here in southwest Florida the temps were in the high 20's! I think it was warmer in Oregon. Yesterday to go to the grocery store I had on a fleece shirt, coat, scarf, hat and flip-flops.

The good news is that mom is doing better - it's a struggle everyday though, she gets so depressed. I hate this cancer thing, it has effected so many people and it is so horrific. I appreciate those that have been through it with their support and knowledge or I don't know how we would make it.

Here are Emily and Sage in their Christmas dresses, two little blond angels. We got to visit together at my friend Seiza's house the night before I left for Florida. I miss Em like crazy and am planning a trip to Port Townsend in April for her 6th birthday.

I wish all of you a happy, happy new year and again thank-you all for your love and support.
